India is set to host one of the largest mobility exhibitions in the world—the Bharat Mobility Show—from January 17 to 22. As many as 34 homegrown and global automakers are set to take the covers off a slew of vehicles, many in the electric vehicle segment, at the show in the National Capital Region.
New component products as well as technologies are also expected to be unveiled.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on Friday. Participants include Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Japan’s Toyota Motor Corporation and China’s BYD. The current edition of the show is taking place amid the government’s thrust on clean technologies and reduced dependence on imports.
