As Season 1 of Marvel Rivals rolls on, NetEase is introducing a new limited-time event.
The Spring Festival begins on January 23rd, bringing a new limited-time game mode, a gallery card customization event, a new costume, and more.
The Clash of Dancing Lions is a new game mode that, based on the event’s trailer, more closely resembles a game of soccer over the traditional team-shooter gameplay Marvel Rivals is known for. Overwatch fans will undoubtedly see a close resemblance to its popular Lucioball mode.

Fans of Star-Lord can also look forward to unlocking a new, free costume. An end date for the Marvel Rivals Spring Festival is unavailable at the time of writing.
NetEase Wants to Keep Adding Content to Marvel Rivals
Despite just launching two new heroes (Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic) in Season 1, NetEase has no plans to slow down on the free content updates with Marvel Rivals. Human Torch and The Thing are planned for the near future in the middle of Season 1. NetEase recently confirmed, too, that they want to add at least one new hero to the game every six weeks.
Their goal is to keep the community excited with these new heroes, events, and skins in the game. “It’s all about creating a good experience for our players,” says Marvel Rivals game director Guangyun Chen.

NetEase seems to be prioritizing a steady flow of new heroes, rewards, and events to keep players engaged. It’s been working, as Marvel Rivals continues to enjoy a healthy player base as we near two months after launch.
