Amplitude Studios has officially announced Endless Legend 2, a sequel to the beloved 2014 fantasy 4X game. Get ready to dive into the mystical hex-based world of Saiadha when the turn-based strategy experience launches in early access early this year.

Earlier today, the studio celebrated its first anniversary since regaining independence from SEGA, in which it offered a first glimpse at an evolution of the original game. Endless Legend 2 comes with the “seasons and tidefalls” system and introduces this complex oceanic world.

Endless Legend 2 Saiadha Depths

Endless Legend 2 is expected to feature six distinct factions with unique play styles, strengths, and philosophies. The first four of these will drop at launch, with the other two to follow later.

Being a continuation of the Endless Legend series, the game’s immersive experience combines new mechanics with the signature turn-based 4x strategy. One notable standout innovation is the seasons and tidefalls systems. The periodic ebb and flow regularly transforms the environment into an obstacle or a chance for more discoveries within Saiadha’s depths.

Amplitude Studio indicated targets early access in early 2025, but is yet to pin down the exact date. You can sign up for the Insider Program starting January 30 for the test builds and become part of the feedback teams throughout the game’s development.

Endless Legend 2 is a significant milestone for the developers, marking their first major title since parting ways with SEGA. At the end of last year, the Humankind and Endless developer took the bold step to break away, keeping the community wondering what this freedom would bring.

“This decision allows us to be more agile in our approach while continuing to shape the vision that we’ve had from the beginning, empowering us to push boundaries and be closer than ever to our community,” said the studio director, Romain de Waubert de Genlis.
