How To Play Fort Condor

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s bigger world also comes with a lot more to see and do than in the previous entry in the remade series. As players travel across the world, there will be many recurring minigames to complete, some focused around Protorelics.

One of the more unique and lore-intensive minigames is Fort Condor, which will have players defending the giant bird from the attacking Shinra troopers. Fort Condor is a unique strategy game that offers a very different style than the more common Queen’s Blood.

How To Play Fort Condor

The goal of Fort Condor is to destroy the guardian birds to the sides before ultimately destroying the large central bird on the enemy’s side of the board. Both players will be placing down various units on one of two lanes to advance forward and fight any enemies in their path. Should there be no enemies, the units will advance and attack the bird of that lane.

Once one of the birds on a side has been destroyed, units from that lane will proceed to attack the main bird in the center. Only one of the side birds needs to be destroyed, with focusing on only one lane being a viable strategy. ATB will be earned every few seconds and is spent to purchase and place new soldiers. The more elite units have a limited number of uses in a game, while their weaker variants can be placed indefinitely.

There are multiple different groups of units: Vanguard, Ranged, and Support. Vanguard units focus on powerful melee attacks, Ranged utilizes fairly powerful ranged attacks, while Support focuses on absorbing incoming damage and protecting allies. By placing enough units of one type, players will be able to place a hero of that unit type to dominate the board until they are taken down.

Tips To Winning Fort Condor

Each unit type does have another type they generally work better against. Support counter Vanguard, Vanguard counters Ranged, and Ranged counters Support. While ATB does generate fairly quickly, it’s best to play it safe and on the defensive early in the game to get a larger pool of ATB. Also, don’t be afraid to place units at the very back of the board, as the time they walk to the front lines will be more than enough to spawn more allies to all fight together.

Only one lane needs to be won to win the game, so put the focus on the majority of your ATB in one lane and only place defensively on the other lane. Utilize Clerics along with a Support or two as their healing will make the Supports a wall to protect a Vanguard unit. Don’t waste your heroes; only play them when you have multiple units all together and can further capitalize on the leader’s high damage. Completing Protorelics such as playing Fort Condor is an easy way to complete World Intel and increase the Party Level.

There are many minigames for players to play in Rebirth, many of which offer various bonuses, such as Gil. While exploring the world of Rebirth, there are also many ways for players to earn XP and level up each character quickly.
