IO Interactive has revealed that players can unlock a special cosmetic item in the upcoming 007 First Light, but to do so, they need to tackle one of Bond’s most infamous foes in a different game: Hitman World of Assassination.
James Bond has appeared in one genre-defining video game and a bunch of mediocre ones. That trend may change soon, as IO Interactive, developer of the Hitman and Kane & Lynch series, is making 007 First Light, a stealth/action game that will explore Bond’s origins.
While 007 First Light is set to launch in 2026, fans can start unlocking content in it right now. The official Hitman BlueSky account has announced that a Casino Suit cosmetic item for 007 First Light can be unlocked by playing Hitman World of Assassination, which involves a new mission with a famous face from the franchise.
007 First Light Gear Can Be Unlocked By Defeating Le Chiffre
Hitman World of Assassination is hosting a crossover event with the James Bond franchise, specifically Casino Royale. Originally introduced as part of the Season of High Stakes event, Mads Mikkelsen has reprised his role as the villainous Le Chiffre, who must be taken down by Agent 47.
From August 25 to September 14, Hitman World of Assassination will be free to play, and those who jump in can earn the Casino Suit for 007 First Light when it launches next year.
While 007 First Light is being promoted as more of an action game than a stealth experience, the trailers revealed for the game so far show Bond needing to sneak around and talk his way out of situations. The secret to a great James Bond story is a mixture of the spy and combat elements, which 007 First Light looks like it’s going to nail. And with the Casino Suit, players can take on Bond’s foes in style.
