Maruti Suzuki has introduced the fourth-generation Swift, known as the “Epic” new Swift 2024, in India, starting at a base price of Rs 6.49 lakh and reaching up to Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This launch includes the option for customers to subscribe to the car at a monthly cost of Rs 17,436, covering registration, maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance. Interested buyers can secure their orders by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000 at Maruti Suzuki dealerships nationwide, as pre-bookings are already underway.

Design and features
In terms of design, the latest Swift retains its signature style while incorporating evolutionary updates compared to its predecessor. Notable exterior changes include angular headlights, a redesigned grille, and updated tail lamps, while the interior features a new dashboard layout reminiscent of recent Maruti Suzuki models. The car comes equipped with a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system and upgraded switchgear for the automatic climate control system, providing a refreshed aesthetic.
The new Swift will be available in nine colors, including six mono-tone options and three dual-tone variants.

Engine specifications and fuel efficiency
Under the hood, it is anticipated to be powered by Suzuki’s new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z-Series naturally aspirated petrol engine, possibly with mild hybrid technology for improved fuel efficiency. Both manual and automated manual transmission options are expected to be offered, with the manual variant boasting a 10% increase in fuel efficiency and the automatic variant offering a 14% improvement.
