In a video interview with CNBC (via GamesRadar), Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick dropped a bomb on what they’re aiming for with Grand Theft Auto 6.

“The key thing is that Rockstar Games is trying to create the best thing anyone’s ever seen in entertainment, not just interactive entertainment,” Zelnick shares.This is something Zelnick admits is a “tall order” and how he thinks “consumers have huge hopes for the title.”

“But the delay itself is really a reflection of desire to polish and create the best possible experience for consumers, and we as a company have been known not to have a sort of slavish devotion to release dates but rather to seek the highest quality entertainment,” Zelnick added.

With any other game, this claim would be ridiculous. But with GTA 6? Yeah, Zelnick’s comments might actually be accurate. I would be shocked if GTA 6 didn’t establish new records in units sold and revenue once the game is released next year.
