Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader has very powerful melee weapons for players to use, in many cases, one in each hand.

At the end of chapter 1, the planet Rykard Minoris is being taken over by the rebel incursion, and heresey is spreading like wildfire. After escaping the planet, the Rogue Trader is faced with the decision to either destroy the planet, let heresy spread, or try to evacuate the lives of the few sane people left.

Should You Destroy Rykad Minoris

Rykad Minoris Falling To Chaos

Following the events of Chapter 1, the Rogue Trader will be able to decide what happens to Rykard Minoris. There will be three choices: either save a few people from the planet, destroy it completely, or surrender it to Chaos. The ramifications of your choice won’t carry on to later in the game, with the main effects of this choice being on your conviction and one possible debuff.

The decisions will be clearly listed for which conviction they will affect, with the Dogmatic option being to destroy the planet. While this seems like the most intense solution to the problem of Heresey, it is widely accepted in the Imperium of Man, and most, if not all, of your crew will applaud you for your decision to destroy it. If players are going down the Dogmatic route, definitely destroy the planet; aside from that, the lasting effects of this choice are purely for role-playing purposes.

While destroying the planet is one option, players can save a few people from the planet or completely surrender it to heresy. Ultimately, both of these options will leave the planet intact, and heresy and daemons will completely take over. The Iconoclast option will result in a debuff on the Rouge Trader of -5 Willpower until they are either downed in combat or a Trauma kit is used on them.
