Elden Ring has many ways to unlock new weapons, incantations, spells, and more. You can purchase the like from merchants around the Lands Between, find them in caverns and dungeons, or even gifted from various NPCs. But one way that tends to fly under the radar is finding books you can give to your mentors.

Finding The Dragon Cult Prayerbook
If you’d like to obtain the Dragon Cult Prayerbook, make your way to the thin landmass to the East of Liurnia of the Lakes. Travel North along this path until you are perpendicular to the large structure shown on the map above. Once you have arrived, in the general vicinity, there will be a knight with golden cloaks walking around on foot.

As you battle this knight, you will notice that his move set is slightly different from other knights you have fought in the past. This enemy is actually using some powers you will receive from the Dragon Cult Prayerbook. Once you fell him, pick up the item on his dead body, and you will receive the Prayerbook.

Once The Dragon Cult Prayerbook is in your possession, travel to the Roundtable and meet with Brother Corhyn (he has an uncomfortable-looking metal circle on him). You could also give it to Miriel, Pastor of Vows at the Church of Vows, or whoever you prefer! Once you provide the key item to one of these NPCs, you will unlock these incantations:
- Lightning Spear: Creates a lightning projectile that you throw
- Honed Bolt: Summon a lightning bolt that targets nearby enemies
- Electrify Armaments: Enchants your weapons with lightning
Speak with the selected NPC again, and you will now be able to purchase these now-unlocked incantations.
